Prediction

The prediction function allows users to partake in an analytical trading game for a chance to win prizes. Leonicorn Swap Prediction markets are powered through a partnership with Chainlink, utilising Chainlink’s price oracle to ensure that prices are accurate and prizes are distributed fairly.

How to Play

Ensure you have the wallet for the appropriate network connected to the DEX (see Connecting Your Wallet).

Mobile Devices

1. Open the side menu and tap Prediction.

2. Read, and if satisfied, accept any warning messages that appear.

3. Check you have the market you wish to predict selected, if not, change it using the drop-down menu near the top of the page.

4. Optional - tap on the chart symbol at the top of the page to view current charts before making your prediction.

5. Swipe left to view the next round.

6. Select your prediction by tapping on Up or Down.

7. In the Set Amount window, set the amount you wish to commit, by either typing or selecting using the percentage buttons or the sliding bars below. Once satisfied tap on the Confirm button.

8. You will then be prompted by your wallet app to approve the transaction and the associated transaction fee (paid with the applicable currency for the market you predicted).

Desktop Devices

1. Open the side menu and tap Prediction.

2. Read, and if satisfied, accept any warning messages that appear.

3. Check you have the market you wish to predict selected, if not, change it using the drop-down menu near the top left of the page.

4. Optional - drag the divider bar up from the bottom of the screen to view current charts before making your prediction.

5. If necessary scroll left to view the next round.

6. Select your prediction by tapping on Up or Down.

7. In the Set Amount window, set the amount you wish to commit, by either typing or selecting using the percentage buttons or the sliding bars below. Once satisfied tap on the Confirm button.

8. You will then be prompted by your wallet app to approve the transaction and the associated transaction fee (paid with the applicable currency for the market you predicted).

Once approved, the transaction will be sent to the network for processing. Though this usually takes only about a minute, when the network is under high demand, transactions can take much longer. When complete, the tokens will be removed from your wallet and you will be able to view your position in the prediction modal on the DEX.

When the live round has finished your prediction position will become the new live round and you can monitor the progress of the price.

Once your prediction round is live, if you wish at this point you can repeat the process to make a prediction in the next round.

How to Collect Prizes

Ensure you have the wallet for the appropriate network connected to the DEX (see Connecting Your Wallet).

Method One

1. Open the side menu and tap Prediction.

2. You can check if you have prizes to collect by tapping on the History icon button near the top right of the page.

3. If you have prizes to collect, you can view these by using the Filter to toggle the Uncollected option.

4. Tap Collect Winnings then tap Confirm.

5. You will then be prompted by your wallet app to approve the transaction and the associated transaction fee (paid with the applicable currency for the market you predicted).

Once approved, the transaction will be sent to the network for processing. Though this usually takes only about a minute, when the network is under high demand, transactions can take much longer.

Method Two

1. Open the side menu and tap Prediction.

2. You can check if you have prizes to collect by swiping right to view previous rounds.

3. If you have prizes to collect you will see a Collect Winnings button pop up near the bottom of the screen.

4. Tap Collect Winnings then tap Confirm.

5. You will then be prompted by your wallet app to approve the transaction and the associated transaction fee (paid with the applicable currency for the market you predicted).

Once approved, the transaction will be sent to the network for processing. Though this usually takes only about a minute, when the network is under high demand, transactions can take much longer.
